Hello Southern California Tennis Fans!
Farmers Classic Hosts Southern California Tennis Association Senior Tennis Hall of Fame
The SCTA Senior Tennis Hall of Fame induction ceremonies will take place on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 11:30 AM in the James West Alumni Center-UCLA. A gala luncheon precedes the induction program. The Master of Ceremonies will present a short resume on the achievements of each inductee. And, as in past years, each inductee will have an opportunity to say a few words about his or her journey in our great sport.
This year’s class of senior male player inductees includes: Bob Duesler, Ed Kauder, Mel Lewis, Jim Nelson and Ben Press. Women in the class of 2010 are: Virgina Glass, Charleen Hillebrand, Joan Johnson, Dorothy Matthiessen and Suella Steel.
Our event is open to the general public and a speedy ticket order is encouraged. The luncheon fee is $35.00 per person and includes a free ticket, in reserved seating for Hall of Fame luncheon attendees, to the Farmers Classic tennis championships. Farmers Classic is a US Open Series event on the ATP men’s tour.
To reserve space at the SCTA Senior Tennis Hall of Fame luncheon and your free ticket to the Farmer’s Classic, contact: SCTA Senior Tennis Hall of Fame, ATTN: Martha Katsufrakis, 310.208.3838, ext. 238. Or, by e-mail:

Tournament Players must enter contact information each time they register for a tournament
Attention tournament players!! Due to a new policy from the USTA legal department, tournament directors will no longer have access to phone numbers and email addresses of tournament participants unless the player has entered this information when they register for the tournament.
This means that if a player does not enter their phone and email information, a tournament director cannot contact them for any reason... including withdrawals, defaults, byes, rain delays etc...
The only way to insure that the tournament director has this information is for players to enters it when registering. The SCTA appreciates all of our tournament player's cooperation with this issue so that tournaments can continue to communicate necessary information to you. Contact Annette Buck (Adult Tournaments) at Abuck@SCTA.usta.com or Darren Potkey (Junior Tournaments) at DarrenP@SCTA.usta.com with questions.
