Points-Per-Round System

SCTA MOVES TO POINTS-PER-ROUND RANKING SYSTEM

After careful consideration and study, the SCTA Junior Tennis Council (JTC) voted to adopt a points-per-round ranking system for Southern California standings and rankings, effective January 1, 2010.

For players that have been competing in Southern California tournaments for some time, this system will work under the same philosophy as the national ranking system, in that you receive points depending on 1) the level of tournament you are participating in and 2) the round that you reach.  Separate point tables for open and satellite level will exist.

Below you will find links to several helpful documents with important information on how the system will be set up.  These documents are subject to change as the year progresses, so please continually check.   Please note that tournaments in 2009 starting on May 1st and after will be counted towards the first PPR standings list in January 2010.

As always, if you have questions along the way, please contact either Darren Potkey or Ai Takamori at the SCTA offices for assistance, (310) 208-3838.
